01Agreement to these terms

Welcome to Status Maxx. These Terms of Service, which we call the Terms, form an agreement between you and Status Maxx and govern your use of our website, our app, our waitlist, and any related services, which we call the Service.

By joining our waitlist, creating an account, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

02Who we are and what Status Maxx does

Status Maxx is a membership intelligence product. We help you get more out of the cards, subscriptions, and loyalty tiers you already pay for by surfacing timely suggestions about which one to use and when.

The Service provides information and suggestions only. You always decide whether and how to act on anything Status Maxx shows you.

03Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, and able to form a binding contract, to use the Service. By using the Service you confirm that you meet these requirements.

04Your account

Some features require an account. You agree to give accurate information, to keep your login details secure, and to be responsible for activity that happens under your account.

Tell us promptly at legal@statusmaxx.com if you believe someone has used your account without permission.

05The waitlist and early access

Status Maxx is launching gradually. Joining the waitlist reserves your place and lets us contact you about early access. It does not guarantee access by any particular date, and features shown before launch may change.

06Not financial advice

Status Maxx gives general, informational suggestions. It is not a bank, an issuer, a financial advisor, or a broker, and nothing in the Service is financial, legal, tax, or investment advice.

07Rewards, offers, and third parties

Cards, banks, subscriptions, merchants, and loyalty programs are independent third parties. Their offers, points, tiers, and rules belong to them, can change or end at any time, and are subject to their own terms.

Status Maxx is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by these third parties unless we clearly say so, and we are not responsible for their products, decisions, or the availability of any offer.

08Acceptable use

When using the Service, you agree not to:

• break the law or infringe anyone's rights
• copy, scrape, resell, or reverse engineer the Service or its data
• interfere with, overload, or try to gain unauthorized access to the Service
• upload malware or attempt to disrupt other users
• use the Service to build a competing product or dataset

09Your content and information

You keep ownership of the information you add, such as the cards and memberships you track. You grant Status Maxx a limited licence to use that information to operate and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

10Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, brand, logo, and content created by us, belongs to Status Maxx and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not give you any right to our name or branding beyond ordinary use of the Service.

11Third-party services and links

The Service may link to or rely on third-party tools and websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, terms, or privacy practices. Your use of a third party is governed by that third party's own terms.

12Service availability and changes

We are building quickly, so the Service may change, pause, or be unavailable at times, and features may be added or removed. We may set limits or introduce paid plans in the future, and we will give notice where it is reasonable to do so.

13Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an as is and as available basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent allowed by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be accurate, uninterrupted, secure, or error free.

14Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Status Maxx and its founders, team, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or for any lost rewards, points, savings, profits, or data, arising from your use of the Service.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty US dollars.

15Indemnification

You agree to cover reasonable losses and costs Status Maxx incurs from your misuse of the Service or your breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

16Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that could harm others or us. Sections that by their nature should survive, such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability, will continue to apply.

17Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as Status Maxx evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

18Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the place where Status Maxx is established and operated, without regard to conflict of law rules. We will name a specific governing jurisdiction and venue here once the company's corporate structure is formalized.
